Farah Kimia was born into a Persian family with a deep-rooted history in the leather and fur industry. Her parents, esteemed producers of these materials, instilled in her a profound appreciation for quality craftsmanship from an early age. Growing up surrounded by the rich textures and intricate processes of leather and fur production, Farah's path into fashion design felt both natural and inevitable.
Pursuing her passion, Farah studied fashion design in Barcelona and Florence. Once she knew that she wanted to create her brand, she knew it must be one that rejected synthetic and plastic materials in favor of quality and longevity, standing in contrast to the consumer-driven fast fashion movement. In 2020, amidst the uncertainties of a global pandemic, she took a bold step and established the Farah Kimia brand in Prague, Czech Republic. This endeavor marked a significant investment and a leap of faith during unpredictable times. The brand's commitment to excellence and timeless design resonated with clients, leading to the opening of a second location in Kitzbuuhel Austria in 2024.

Synthetic fabrics, often made from plastic, not only contribute to environmental pollution but also pose risks to human health. Many of these materials release microplastics into the air and water, harming ecosystems and making their way into our bodies. Faux fur and synthetic leather, in particular, are often produced using harmful chemicals that can be absorbed through the skin or inhaled over time. In contrast, natural materials not only provide superior quality and longevity but are also safer for you and the environment.
